Ostrow and Ostrołęka launch public consultations on new aquapark and retention park projects
The municipal authorities of Ostrow Wielkopolski have opened a new round of public consultations on the planned aquapark. Residents can submit opinions online or on paper until 20 August 2026, influencing the design and facilities of the long‑awaited recreational complex.
In Ostrołęka, councilor Łukasz Kulik has submitted an interpellation urging the mayor, Paweł Niewiadomski, to start work on the "Park Przyrodniczo‑Retencyjny Doliny Narwi – Otok". The project aims to create a retention basin and nature‑education area to mitigate spring flooding, with funding sought from a 100 million‑złoty national program.
Both towns are seeking citizen input as part of broader efforts to develop large‑scale infrastructure that serves local recreation, flood protection, and environmental education.
