Osun APC Candidate Munirudeen Oyebamiji Pledges Inclusive Governance and Infrastructure Upgrades

Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election, presented a platform centered on inclusive, transparent and people‑focused administration. He promised equitable distribution of state resources, stating that no community would be neglected and that development projects would benefit all residents.

Oyebamiji outlined a broad development agenda that includes upgrading roads, revitalising hospitals and primary health centres, improving electricity supply through a proposed partnership with a German firm to deliver about 3.5 MW, and enhancing education by training civil servants and teachers. He also pledged support for mechanised agriculture, grants and soft loans for traders, artisans and transport operators, and the construction of a modern market in Ile‑Ife. The candidate highlighted his background as a career administrator, former finance commissioner and former head of the National Inland Waterways Authority, emphasizing his focus on fiscal discipline and risk‑management‑driven governance.

The campaign flag‑off in Ile‑Ife featured calls for peaceful, issue‑based campaigning, with the Ooni of Ife urging all political actors to avoid violence as the election approaches.
