Osun Governor Adeleke Endorses President Tinubu for 2027 Reelection

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke publicly backed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 Nigerian presidential election. Calling the endorsement a “moral and development‑driven” decision for the benefit of Osun and the Yoruba people, Adeleke praised Tinubu as “our own son, father and leader.” He highlighted federal road projects in the state, including the Ibadan‑Ile‑Ifẹ‑Ilesa expressway and other reconstructed roads, and urged the president to authorize payment for the rehabilitated federal routes. Adeleke said his support would not affect the upcoming governorship contest in Osun slated for 15 August and pledged to ensure free and fair elections.

The endorsement aligns with statements from other regional leaders, underscoring Tinubu’s position as the All Progressives Congress candidate and signalling continued political consolidation ahead of the election.
