Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke Orders Bridge Repair Amid Airport Contract Scrutiny

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke directed an urgent rehabilitation of the deteriorating Olaiya Bridge in Osogbo, ordering the Ministry of Works to assess, clean and fix the structure before the commissioning of the new Okefia Flyover.

The Osun State chapter of the Allied Peoples Movement called on Adeleke to review the contract for the proposed Ede International Airport, a project now valued at over ₦130 billion. The party questioned the award to a firm whose primary business is interior decoration, urged consideration of upgrading the existing Ibadan airport instead, and warned that relocating the airport from the historic Ido‑Osun site could waste public resources.
