Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke orders police to arrest anyone, even his son, after IGP alleges criminals in Government H​

Inspector‑General of Police Olatunji Disu visited the Osun State Government House in Osogbo and said the state commissioner of police, Ibrahim Gotan, had informed him that wanted suspects were taking refuge there. Governor Ademola Adeleke denied the allegation, stating he has "zero tolerance" for crime and would have anyone arrested – even a son – who broke the law. He said, "If you see any of my people that committed a crime, arrest them. If it is my son who committed a crime, arrest him, let him learn his lesson." Adeleke also accused some officers of playing "games," citing the transfer of an officer who had arrested a suspect in the killing of a 14‑year‑old boy in Ilobu.

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rejected the governor’s response, calling it evasive and alleging that the governor was sheltering dangerous political thugs, referencing a viral video and photographs. The governor’s campaign council dismissed the APC claim as "spurious and irresponsible" and said it was an attempt to smear the Nigeria Police Force.

The dispute highlights political tensions in Osun State over allegations of criminal elements being hidden in the government residence and the governor’s pledge to enforce strict law enforcement regardless of personal connections.
