In Osun State, armed hoodlums stormed an Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) distribution centre at Oyinloka DC Primary School in Okuku, firing gunshots into the air and stealing three packs of Permanent Voter Cards. Police reported that about ten thugs carried out the raid; the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, condemned the act and ordered a comprehensive investigation. INEC officials said they are waiting for the police report before deciding whether to re‑print the stolen cards ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
