Osun State Police warn of decisive action against planned cultist protest

The Osun State Police Command has issued a warning against a planned protest allegedly organized by a group called the ‘Congress of Cultists,’ which is reportedly associated with the Neo-Black Movement, also known as Black Axe.

In a statement released Sunday, police spokesperson DSP Abiodun Ojelabi stated that security agencies will respond ‘decisively and appropriately’ to any attempts to disrupt public peace or threaten lives and property. The command urged individuals with grievances to use lawful channels rather than resorting to violence or reprisal attacks.

The warning follows an ongoing investigation into a recent killing in the state. Police reported that while the investigation has yielded useful leads and some suspects have been identified, several individuals remain at large. Authorities have appealed to the public for information to assist in the ongoing efforts to bring the suspects to justice.
