Religious leaders, including the Catholic Bishop of Osogbo, echoed the concern, noting five politically motivated killings recorded by the Justice, Development and Peace Makers’ Centre (JDPMC). They urged political parties, security forces, and community groups to curb thuggery, resolve the local‑government impasse, and protect the state’s reputation for peace ahead of the vote.
