OTE Group rebrands COSMOTE TELEKOM to Telekom

The OTE Group has announced a major rebranding, transitioning its commercial brand from COSMOTE TELEKOM to Telekom. This shift aims to leverage the global strength of Deutsche Telekom, which holds a 55% stake in OTE, and focus on next-generation digital experiences and artificial intelligence.

The rebranding process is being implemented gradually, with a full communications campaign launch scheduled for September 8. The transition includes a change to the corporate Magenta color and the renaming of various products and services. For instance, COSMOTE 5G will become Telekom 5G, COSMOTE Fiber will become Telekom Fiber, and COSMOTE retail stores will be renamed Telekom stores. Other services such as MagentaTV and Magenta Pay will also be introduced.

Strategically, the move is intended to position the company as a leading digital telecommunications provider in Europe by 2030. A key component of this digital strategy is the integration of AI, including the development of the Magenta AI Assistant in partnership with ElevenLabs, which is expected to offer features like real-time translation and conversation summaries.
