Otelec to host fourth Picnic în pustă festival

The fourth edition of the ‘Picnic în pustă’ event is scheduled to take place in Otelec on Sunday, September 27, from 11:00 to 19:00. Held in the orchard of Casa Vânătorilor, the festival celebrates autumn through traditional Banat cuisine, local products, and music.

Visitors can sample various regional specialties, including honey, cheese, milk, and dried fruits, as well as prepared dishes such as kurtos kolacs, pleskavița, fish soup, and goat goulash. A local market will be organized in the courtyard of Casa Vânătorilor, and a raffle featuring customized objects will be hosted by GAL Banat Vest.

To facilitate attendance, STPT boats will operate on the Bega river with a special schedule, offering round-trip excursions from Timișoara. Additionally, a bicycle path along the Bega river bank provides an alternative route connecting Timișoara to Otelec.
