The fourth edition of the ‘Picnic în pustă’ festival is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, in the orchard of Casa Vânătorilor in Otelec, Timiș County.

Supported by the Timiș County Council through Visit Timiș, the event is part of the ‘Banat 2028 – European Gastronomic Region’ initiative to promote regional culinary and cultural heritage. This year’s theme is ‘Dulceață pe pâine’ (Jam on Bread), focusing on autumn flavors and traditional local products.

Activities include a local market featuring jams, honey, cheese, and seasonal produce, as well as wood spoon carving workshops, vinyl music sessions, and guided museum visits. To assist attendees, STPT boats will offer special round-trip excursions from Timișoara via the Bega river, and a bicycle path provides an alternative route to the venue.
