Otelec to host ‘Picnic în pustă’ culinary event

The fourth edition of the ‘Picnic în pustă’ event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Otelec, Timiș County. Supported by the Timiș County Council through Visit Timiș, the event will be held in the orchard at Casa Vânătorilor.

The theme for this edition is ‘Dulceață pe pâine’ (Jam on Bread), focusing on autumn flavors and traditional local products. The event will feature a local market with jams, pickles, honey, cheese, and seasonal produce, alongside cultural activities such as vinyl music sessions, wood spoon carving workshops, and guided museum visits. The initiative is part of the ‘Banat 2028 – European Gastronomic Region’ series, aimed at promoting the culinary and cultural heritage of the Banat region.
