Other World Computing announces Thunderbolt 5 dock and USB-C cable

Other World Computing (OWC) has announced new Thunderbolt 5 ecosystem hardware, including a dual HDMI 2.1 docking station and a 1.5m USB-C cable.

The Thunderbolt 5 dock features native dual HDMI 2.1 connectivity, allowing for dual 4K 240Hz or dual 8K 60Hz displays (with DSC) without the need for adapters. It provides up to 140W of power delivery to host laptops and includes a 2.5GbE RJ45 port, UHS-II SD and microSD card readers, and eight USB ports. The device is priced at $349.99 and is expected to be available in November 2026.

Additionally, OWC is releasing a 1.5m Thunderbolt 5 USB-C cable. The cable supports peer-to-peer 80Gbps and asymmetric 120Gbps/40Gbps data transfers, along with 240W power delivery and DisplayPort Alt mode. It is priced at $58.99 with a planned release in mid-October 2026.
