Otzolotepec paramedic found dead in suspected feminicide
A 26-year-old paramedic, Aurora Montiel Regino, was found dead in the community of San Mateo Mozoquilpan, located in the municipality of Otzolotepec, State of Mexico. The victim, who served with the Otzolotepec Civil Protection and Firefighters coordination, was discovered in a room at the intersection of Independencia and Ocote streets.
Emergency responders reported finding the woman lifeless on the floor, covered in blankets, with visible injuries and puncture wounds to her neck. Authorities from the State of Mexico Security Secretariat (SSEM) and municipal police secured the area. The General Prosecutor's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) and forensic services have been notified to conduct a necropsy and determine the exact cause of death as investigations into the potential feminicide proceed.
