Our Lady of Carmel feasts unite communities in Blato na Cetini and Seketin, Croatia

On 16 July, the parish of Blato na Cetini celebrated the feast of Our Lady of Carmel with a solemn Mass and procession led by Archbishop Zdenko Križić, assisted by local priests. The ceremony included the baptism of twin infants Mihael and Lucij and the presentation of a donated painting to the parish.

A few days earlier, on 12 July, residents of Seketin gathered for their own Our Lady of Carmel celebration. The Mass was celebrated by parish priest Tomislav Dodlek and Jesuit Father Ivan Koprek, and featured a charitable drive called “Marijine obroke” that collects food donations for hungry children worldwide. The event also highlighted the historic renovation of the local chapel and community activities such as traditional foods and crafts.
