Ourense Film Festival presents ‘Walking Holiday’ and animation industry insights

The 31st Ourense Film Festival (OUFF) featured the presentation of the film ‘Walking Holiday’ at the Centro Cultural Marcos Valcárcel. Directed by Irish brothers Cian and Jack Desmond, the intimate film was shot in Galicia and stars actress Elena Seijo.

The story follows two strangers who, despite not sharing a language, form a deep connection while walking through Galician landscapes. The directors noted that the project was heavily inspired by the local environment, specifically the mountains and rural settings of Os Ancares.

Additionally, the festival programming includes a session at the Foro La Región featuring animation director Enrique Gato and producer Chelo Loureiro. They will discuss the evolution and industrial consolidation of the Spanish animation sector over the last 25 years.
