Ovarian cancer symptoms often mimic common health issues
Ovarian cancer can present with symptoms that are often mistaken for common, non-serious issues. According to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), early stages may involve few or no symptoms.
When symptoms do occur, they may include abdominal swelling or pain, bloating, difficulty eating, a feeling of rapid fullness, an urgent need to urinate, and constipation. A key indicator is not necessarily the symptom itself, but a persistent change in how it appears. For example, while bloating is common due to diet or menstruation, recurring abdominal swelling or a constant feeling of fullness without an obvious cause warrants attention.
