Colombia prepares over 650,000 students for Saber 11 exam on July 26

More than 650,000 Colombian students are slated to take the Saber 11 state exam on Sunday, 26 July 2026. The test will be administered at 1,770 locations in 570 municipalities across the country, with each centre hosting two sessions—morning and afternoon—starting at 7 am.

The ICFES has arranged special accommodations for about 15,000 students with disabilities and for roughly 14,900 foreign participants, most of them Venezuelan. Rural nodes have been added in Valledupar and other municipalities to reduce travel distances for students in remote areas.

Regional authorities have launched free preparation programmes: the Atlántico department invested over 19.5 billion Colombian pesos in workshops for more than 29,000 students, while Bogotá offers free preparatory sessions for over 3,000 learners. Yopal alone will host 3,095 examinees in six schools. The exam covers critical reading, mathematics, natural sciences, social studies, and English, and its results are essential for university admission, scholarships and the validation of the secondary school diploma.
