Overasselt attack: Suspects identified in organized farm shooting

Authorities have identified two suspects involved in a violent armed attack on a farm in Overasselt, Netherlands, which resulted in the death of a 51-year-old security guard on September 1.

Testimony from three French suspects suggests the attack was a highly organized operation. A group of more than 30 masked and armed men reportedly gathered in a warehouse in Belgium the night before the assault to receive weapons and ammunition. The group was allegedly ordered to kill everyone on the premises, including children. While leaders were equipped with automatic weapons, other participants carried pistols.

During the attack, two police officers were also shot and wounded. The Public Prosecution Service is investigating the group for murder and attempted murder. The incident is believed to be linked to a major cocaine conflict involving Jan G., who was recently arrested in Germany in connection with an attempt to smuggle nearly 4,000 kilograms of cocaine.
