Thirty-five suspects are currently in pre-trial detention following a coordinated armed attack in Overasselt, Netherlands. The incident, which occurred in late August, resulted in the death of a security guard and left two police officers wounded.

Investigations into the criminal group reveal that the attack was highly organized. Suspects were reportedly recruited via social media platforms, specifically Snapchat and Signal, with offers of 10,000 euros per person. The group, consisting of more than 30 men, traveled from various locations including Belgium, France, and Amsterdam to carry out the operation.

The group of detainees includes 16 French nationals, 14 Dutch citizens, two Algerians, and individuals from Belgium, Libya, and Ukraine. Prosecutors are pursuing charges of joint killing, attempted murder of police officers, and illegal weapons possession. One individual linked to the target of the attack, Jan G., was recently arrested in Germany.
