Overgeared franchise expands with new MMORPG and anime premiere

Nexon has released a new video series, ‘Overgeared: Overtalk’, detailing the development of its upcoming MMORPG based on the ‘Overgeared’ manhwa. The game aims to allow players to forge their own stories within a duplicated world that exists alongside the original narrative. While the original protagonist, Grid, will appear as a supporting ally in the ‘Abyss’, players will act as the primary protagonists.

Separately, the ‘Overgeared’ anime adaptation has premiered on Crunchyroll. Produced by J. C. STAFF, the series follows Grid, a struggling gamer attempting to achieve financial success through the virtual reality game ‘Satisfy’. The premiere focuses on Grid’s flawed personality and his eventual transformation following a legendary class change.
