OVL-UÇK official calls for fair verdict in KLA leaders' trial

Fatmir Sopi, Vice President of the Association of Victims and Witnesses of KLA Crimes (OVL-UÇK), has expressed expectations for a fair judicial decision regarding the trial of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders in The Hague.

Sopi emphasized that an acquittal would serve international justice. He argued that the verdict should be based strictly on evidence presented in court rather than what he characterized as fabricated testimony provided by Serbian secret services. Sopi asserted that the KLA fought a just war to prevent genocide and protect civilians, contrasting Serbian evidence with testimony from international authorities, such as those from the US and UK, which he claims support the KLA's legitimacy.
