Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde Leads Major Road Reconstruction Initiatives

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has completed the first phase of the Ladindin‑Iseke‑Ojongbodu‑Jagun‑Olokomeje road reconstruction, a project praised by local traditional ruler Oba Olaniyi Adeoye Adegboye III and residents for dramatically improving transportation, commerce and community access. The contractor Quickborn Nigeria Limited delivered the work to modern engineering standards, fulfilling a promise made by the governor and revitalising a route that had not been upgraded for decades.

In the same state, Ido Local Government Chairman Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo flagged off a separate 6.5‑kilometre road linking Wire and Cable, Ita Faaji, Opopin, Olunde Junction, Oganla and All Saints College to Akinju Close. The new road is intended to reduce flooding, boost local trade and enhance mobility for residents, and the project received backing from Governor Makinde, who approved its commencement. Community leaders and residents expressed optimism that both road works will spur economic activity and improve living standards across Oyo State.
