Ozon logistics centers targeted by Ukrainian UAV strikes
Russian e-commerce giant Ozon has been targeted by a series of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks against its logistics network. The strikes, which reportedly occurred over three consecutive nights starting August 22, have impacted multiple facilities across southern Russia.
In Tschapajevsk, a kamikaze drone struck an Ozon logistics center on the night of August 22. Subsequent attacks on August 23 and 24 resulted in fires at facilities in Krasnodar and Makhachkala. In the Krasnodar region, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported that UAV debris caused two deaths and two injuries, affecting residential buildings and a private childcare center.
Other facilities in Adygeysk and Nevinnomyssk faced evacuations due to UAV warnings. In Nevinnomyssk, Governor Vladimir Vladimirov confirmed that Ukrainian UAVs targeted an industrial zone. These strikes follow a period of intense Ukrainian targeting of Wildberries, Ozon's primary competitor, as Kyiv seeks to disrupt Russian logistics infrastructure used to support military efforts.
