Pé-de-Meia Program issues R$ 200 student incentives in Brazil

The Pé-de-Meia Program, an initiative designed to support high school student retention in Brazil, has released details regarding its 2026 payment schedules and recent disbursements. The program provides financial transfers and socio-educational support to reduce dropout rates among adolescents meeting specific socioeconomic and educational criteria.

As part of the 2026 schedule, a new installment of R$ 200, designated as the fifth Attendance Incentive, was credited to students via the Caixa Tem application. These payments were completed by August 31, following a staggered schedule organized by the students' birth months to manage application traffic.

Eligibility for these payments is strictly tied to school performance. To receive the incentive, students must maintain a minimum class attendance of 80%. The Ministry of Education monitors these requirements through data provided by educational networks, which is then validated and sent to Caixa Econômica Federal for processing.
