Pé-de-Meia program begins fifth installment payments for students

The Pé-de-Meia program has begun paying the fifth installment of the attendance incentive to eligible students in Brazil. The payments, which cover the months of May and June, are being distributed in a staggered schedule based on the beneficiaries' birth months, concluding on August 31.

To qualify for this installment, students must have maintained at least 80% school attendance. The program is designed as a savings incentive to encourage low-income students in the public high school system to complete their education. Regular high school students receive installments of R$ 200, while students in Youth and Adult Education (EJA) receive R$ 225.

Eligibility is determined automatically by the Ministry of Education (MEC) for students enrolled in public schools who are also registered in the CadÚnico system. The funds are deposited into accounts automatically opened by Caixa Econômica Federal. In addition to attendance incentives, the program may also release payments related to 2026 enrollment and previous attendance cycles if data corrections are processed by educational networks.
