Paank condemns alleged disappearances of two men in Balochistan

Paank, the human rights department of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), has condemned the alleged enforced disappearances of two men, Adil Baloch and Obaid, in Balochistan, Pakistan.

According to Paank, Adil Baloch was forcibly disappeared by the Pakistan Army on February 15, 2026, from Pasni in the Gwadar district. In a separate instance, Obaid was allegedly disappeared by the same military force from Pasni on July 7, 2026. The organization is demanding the disclosure of their whereabouts and their safe release.

These incidents are part of a broader pattern in the province. Paank’s August 2026 report documented 556 enforced disappearances in Balochistan between January and June 2026. While rights advocates criticize Pakistani authorities over these cases, the state has attributed its actions to security challenges and militancy in the region.
