Olympiacos secures right‑back Pablo Maffeo as summer transfer nears completion

Spanish right‑back Pablo Maffeo arrived in Athens on 17 June, landing at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport to finalize his move to Olympiacos. He is scheduled for a medical examination on the morning of 18 June before the club can announce his official signing. Maffeo said, “It was an easy decision… I am very excited and see this as a unique opportunity for me,” adding that he looks forward to contributing to the team.

Olympiacos is also pursuing Serbian attacking midfielder Petar Stanic. The club has reportedly submitted an official offer of about €6 million, while his current Bulgarian club values him at €9‑10 million. Stanic’s productive 2025‑26 season – 16 goals and 13 assists across all competitions, and a standout Europa League performance – makes him a coveted target for the Greek side’s summer overhaul.
