Pachuca announces transport changes and municipal investment reports

In Pachuca, the Secretariat of Mobility and Transport (Semot) has announced operational adjustments to public transportation for September 14, 15, and 16 to accommodate celebrations for the 216th anniversary of Mexican Independence. Due to road closures, several stations in the Metropolitan Transport System will be temporarily closed, and free emergency shuttle routes will be implemented to maintain connectivity.

Separately, the Mexican Senate is preparing to hold hearings with cabinet members and public officials following President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo’s Second Government Report. Legislators are coordinating a schedule to allow officials to detail policies regarding domestic, economic, social, and foreign affairs.

In his second administration report, Pachuca Mayor Jorge Reyes Henríquez highlighted significant financial efficiency, stating the city has achieved investment levels equivalent to eight years of previous administration spending within just two years. Key achievements reported include the modernization of over 34,000 streetlights, the intervention of 607 streets for pothole repair, and enhancements to public security through increased police salaries and expanded surveillance networks.
