Pacitan residents receive food aid and water assistance

In Pacitan, East Java, local authorities and military personnel are addressing community needs through food and water distribution. In Ngadirojo District, 1,365 families received 30 kilograms of rice each, distributed via Bulog to cover the July through September 2026 period. The distribution was overseen by Babinsa personnel to ensure the aid reached the designated recipients across five villages.

Simultaneously, the dry season has caused water shortages in the Nglaran Village of Tulakan District. Approximately 15 families in Dusun Kalimojo are facing dried-up wells, forcing residents to travel up to 700 meters to access water sources. The East Java Provincial Government has provided clean water assistance to help mitigate the impact of the drought on these households.
