PACMA expands animal cruelty complaint in Valdepeñas

The Animalist Party (PACMA) has expanded a formal complaint filed with the SEPRONA unit of the Civil Guard against a man in Valdepeñas, popularly known as the ‘matagatos de Valdepeñas’ (Valdepeñas cat killer).

The expanded complaint includes video evidence from a Facebook profile with over 25,000 followers, in which the individual claims to have caused the deaths of approximately 40 cats and run over another 10. PACMA also submitted social media posts from Facebook and Instagram where the man allegedly refers to the capture and killing of various animals, including cats, dormice, snakes, magpies, and lizards.

The accused, who manages a canine residence and provides training services, is being investigated for potential crimes of animal cruelty and against fauna. PACMA has requested urgent precautionary measures, including the removal and custody of animals under the man's responsibility, the suspension of his professional activities as a trainer and kennel manager, and the seizure of potential weapons or poisons used in the alleged acts.
