Paddy Pimblett targets Ilia Topuria for potential UFC matchup

UFC lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett has expressed continued interest in a grudge match against longtime rival Ilia Topuria. Despite a history of physical altercations outside the cage, Pimblett noted that no official discussions regarding a bout have taken place yet.

Pimblett is coming off a victory against Benoit Saint Denis at UFC 329, which he achieved via a first-round submission. Ahead of that fight, Pimblett revealed he underwent a significant weight cut, dropping from 202 lbs to 156 lbs to meet the lightweight limit.

Following Topuria's recent loss to Justin Gaethje, potential matchups for Topuria have become a subject of discussion. While Pimblett is seeking a top-five opponent, a fight against Topuria remains a high-interest option for fans and UFC leadership.
