Paderne reports 4.1 million euro treasury surplus for 2025
The municipal government of Paderne has approved its 2025 general accounts, reporting a treasury surplus of 4,135,152.16 euros. The decision was supported by the governing team, while members of the Partido Popular, Bloque Nacionalista Galego, and an unaffiliated councilor abstained.
As part of the session, the 2026-2027 Economic-Financial Plan was approved to address a residual deficit of 29,224.75 euros. Mayor Sergio Platas attributed this discrepancy to a delay in receiving a subsidy from the Xunta de Galicia intended for a mobile recycling point. Platas stated that the municipality enjoys “good economic health.”
Additionally, the council unanimously approved Paderne's participation in the 2026 Additional Single Plan of the Deputación da Coruña. A combined budget of 96,475.62 euros will be used to renovate the Gas and Montecelo squares and improve their access points.
