Atalanta to face Pafos FC in Conference League opener

Atalanta and Pafos FC are set to begin their 2026-27 UEFA Conference League campaign with a match at the Gewiss Stadium on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Atalanta, currently 10th in Italy's Serie A, enters the match following a 3-1 victory over Venezia. Despite recent struggles that included three consecutive league defeats, the Italian side showed offensive strength in their last outing, led by a brace from Nikola Krstovic. However, the team has faced challenges maintaining clean sheets in recent matches.

Pafos FC, the Cypriot champions, arrive in Italy with significant momentum, holding a fourth-place position in their domestic league and a run of four consecutive away victories. Managed by Ricardo Sá Pinto, the club has seen rapid growth since its formation in 2014 and aims to test its international capabilities against top-tier European opposition.

The match will be broadcast via Sky Sport and Sky Go in Italy, with Radio Rai1 providing live audio coverage.
