Paju City announces recruitment for FINE public housing units

Paju City has announced the recruitment of residents for six units of its ‘FINE Housing Purchase Type’ program. This local public housing initiative utilizes city-owned assets to provide affordable rental options for non-homeowning youth, newlyweds, and multi-child families to support stable settlement in the region.

The current supply includes one unit at Janganmiu Apartment for newlyweds, one unit at Soejae Village Apartment for multi-child families, and four youth housing units located in Beobwon-eup. The youth housing units are equipped with essential appliances, such as refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, and beds, to reduce initial living costs.

Applicants must have resided in Paju for at least two consecutive years as of August 28, 2026. Eligibility criteria include youth aged 19 to 39, newlyweds married within seven years (or prospective newlyweds), and families with at least two minor children. Selection will be based on a point system rather than a lottery. Rental deposits are set at 10% of the official housing price, with monthly rent at approximately 1% of the annual official price. The initial lease term is two years, extendable up to ten years for those who have children.
