Pakistan and Rwanda finalize Trade Cooperation Agreement
The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and various business leaders have welcomed the finalization of the Pakistan-Rwanda Trade Cooperation Agreement. The agreement aims to strengthen economic relations, bilateral trade, and private-sector cooperation between the two nations.
FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh and Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Sardar Tahir Mehmood praised Rwandan High Commissioner Harerimana Fatou for her role in the negotiations. Business leaders noted that Rwanda’s strategic position in East Africa provides a gateway for Pakistani companies to access broader African markets.
The agreement was finalized during the Rwanda-Pakistan Investment Forum 2026 in Kigali, an event involving government officials and investors. The new framework is expected to foster partnerships in sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, and technology.
