Pakistan Anti-Narcotics Force seizes 31 kg of drugs, arrests 10 in nationwide crackdown

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in Pakistan carried out eight intelligence‑based operations across the country, arresting ten suspects, including a woman. More than 31.3 kg of narcotics worth over Rs 3.5 million were seized.

Raids targeted locations near educational institutions in Attock, where 2.4 kg of hashish were recovered from a woman and another 2.4 kg from a rickshaw. At Islamabad International Airport, officials seized 938 g of crystal methamphetamine from a passenger’s luggage bound for Jeddah. In Karachi, 13.5 kg of Valium tablets (about 50,400 pills) destined for Thailand were confiscated. A parcel arriving from the Netherlands in Rawalpindi yielded four grams of MDMA and eight grams of a prohibited powder.

Further seizures on the Indus Highway in Jamshoro included 12 kg and 10 kg of hashish from two vehicles, and a truck in Sarai Alamgir, Gujrat, yielded 3.6 kg of hashish. Cases have been filed against all suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and investigations continue.
