Pakistan cricketers investigated over alleged dressing room leaks

Pakistan cricketers Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq are under investigation by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) following allegations of leaking confidential dressing room information. The inquiry, which includes a review of mobile phone data and financial transactions, follows the team’s recent tour of England.

Mohammad Rizwan stated he is fully cooperating with the investigation and is waiting for its completion before addressing the media. The probe comes amid a period of significant instability for Pakistan cricket, following a 3-0 Test series whitewash in England. The tour was marked by the mid-series dismissal of head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul, as well as the removal of seven players from the squad.

Former players Wasim Akram and Shahid Afridi have commented on the systemic issues within the nation's cricket administration, describing the current state of the sport as disappointing and gloomy.
