Pakistan institutions launch AI training for banking and academia

Educational and professional institutions in Pakistan are launching initiatives to integrate artificial intelligence into specialized sectors.

NIBAF Pakistan has announced an executive workshop titled ‘Agentic AI and No Code Automation for Banking Operations.’ Scheduled for September 7, 2026, at its Karachi Campus, the program aims to teach banking professionals how to apply AI tools and no-code automation within financial and operational environments. The session will be facilitated by Sajid Majeed, an expert in financial analytics and AI.

Separately, the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) under the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has completed a three-day ‘AI Literacy for Educators’ training program. Designed for lecturers and assistant professors in public sector higher education institutions, the program focuses on building faculty capacity to integrate AI into teaching, research, and assessment. Dr. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director of NAHE, emphasized the necessity of ethical AI use, academic integrity, and institutional preparedness in the face of rapidly changing technological landscapes.
