Pakistan invites Dutch investors to explore trade and investment opportunities
Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has invited Dutch investors to explore commercial opportunities in the country, highlighting a shift from economic stabilization toward export-led growth. During a meeting with a Dutch business delegation led by the Founders Carbon Network (FCN) and accompanied by Dutch Ambassador Robert-Jan Siegert, Aurangzeb emphasized the importance of business-to-business engagement to build investor confidence.
The discussions focused on identifying commercially viable partnerships, technology exchange, and long-term economic cooperation. Aurangzeb noted that Pakistan’s improving macroeconomic outlook provides a foundation for increasing productivity and employment through structural reforms and private capital mobilization.
Additionally, the Finance Minister reported that Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves have reached $21.4 billion, a level sufficient to cover approximately three months of imports. The government aims to leverage this stability to promote inclusive growth and improve access to finance for sectors such as agriculture, housing, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
