Pakistan-Iran imports rise 17% to $248 million in two months
Pakistan’s imports from Iran have increased by 17 percent year-on-year during the first two months of the current fiscal year. Total imports reached $248 million (approximately Rs 68.7 billion) during July and August, up from $212 million during the same period last year.
This growth persists despite regional uncertainty and economic challenges. Long-term data indicates a steady upward trend in bilateral trade; imports rose from $440 million in fiscal year 2019-20 to $1.395 billion in fiscal year 2025-26, representing more than a threefold increase over that period.
