Overview

The relationship between Pakistan and Iran involves both infrastructure challenges and growing commercial activity. In August 2026, the Pakistani Senate addressed delays in the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project. This follows a long-term upward trend in bilateral trade, which has increased from $440 million in fiscal year 2019-20 to $1.395 billion in fiscal year 2025-26.
