Pakistan judiciary advances reforms as government backs judge transfers amid backlash

The Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan convened a full court meeting on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan to deliberate on administrative and judicial reforms aimed at enhancing institutional performance and expediting the delivery of justice. The meeting was attended by all judges of the court, along with Registrar Mohamed Hafeezullah.

Separately, the federal government defended the Judicial Commission of Pakistan's decision to transfer three judges of the Islamabad High Court, saying the transfers are being supported amid backlash.

Taken together, the developments highlight ongoing efforts to improve judicial efficiency and manage high-level court personnel within Pakistan's judicial system.
