Pakistan Military Shoots Down Four Afghan Taliban Drones Over Balochistan

Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that its air‑defence network intercepted and destroyed four drones launched from Afghan Taliban‑controlled territory that entered Pakistan’s Balochistan province. The drones, described as “early‑type” platforms, were detected and neutralised promptly, preventing any damage.

The ISPR warned that the Taliban’s cross‑border drone attacks, allegedly supplied via India, would invoke a substantial response if they continue. The incident follows a recent escalation in Pakistan‑Afghan relations, including Pakistani air strikes in eastern Afghanistan after a deadly attack in Karachi and reciprocal Afghan claims of targeting militants in Pakistan’s border regions. Both sides accuse each other of harbouring terrorist groups, and the drone episode adds to the ongoing security tension between Islamabad and Kabul.
