Pakistan security forces kill 10 militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
On August 6, Pakistan security forces conducted two counter‑terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, targeting the militant group Fitna al‑Khawarij. The first engagement took place in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan, where eight militants were killed after they attempted to attack security check‑posts. A second clash in Dir district resulted in the death of two additional militants, bringing the total to ten.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the slain fighters. The operations were described by the Inter‑Services Public Relations as part of the ongoing Azm‑e‑Istehkam campaign to eradicate foreign‑sponsored terrorism and restore lasting peace in the region.
