Pakistan security forces kill militants in Balochistan raids

Pakistani security forces have conducted a series of high-tempo, intelligence-based operations across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the deaths of numerous militants. Over a 72-hour period, security agencies neutralized 48 terrorists in the Balochistan districts of Mastung, Quetta, Kalat, and Sibi. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) identified the targets as members of groups including Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij, which the state describes as Indian-sponsored proxies.

Specific engagements included a firefight in Mastung that killed six militants and a major operation in the Shaban area of Quetta, where 26 terrorists were killed after security forces targeted four hideouts. In Kalat, an operation resulted in 12 deaths, while in the Sibi district, forces thwarted an attempt to raid a police station, killing two militants. Additionally, security forces reported killing 21 militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during separate operations.

During these raids, authorities recovered and destroyed caches of ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The military stated that these actions are part of the ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ counter-terrorism campaign, aimed at eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism within the country.
