Pakistan security forces kill 14 Indian‑backed militants in Balochistan operation
Pakistani security forces carried out an intelligence‑based operation in the Naal area of Basima district, Balochistan, on 8 June 2026. Acting on credible intelligence, they engaged a group of militants linked to the Indian proxy organisation Fitna al‑Hindustan. The operation resulted in the deaths of 14 Indian‑sponsored terrorists and the destruction of four vehicles, with improvised explosive devices recovered at the site. One soldier, Lance Havildar Muhammad Abbas, was killed in the exchange of fire.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the forces, highlighting the operation’s timing, effectiveness and the professionalism of the security institutions. Both leaders honoured the martyrdom of Lance Havildar Abbas and affirmed continued commitment to eradicating foreign‑sponsored terrorism under the “Azm‑e‑Istehkam” framework.
