Pakistan security forces kill 18 terrorists in KP and Balochistan

Pakistani security forces killed 18 terrorists during separate intelligence-based operations in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 13 terrorists identified as Fitna al-Khawarij—a term used by the federal government for members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan—were killed in North Waziristan. These operations were conducted under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision.

In Balochistan, five terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan were killed during an operation in the Mastung district, specifically in the Siyapast and Killi Gashtari areas. Security forces reported recovering a large quantity of weapons and ammunition from the site. Clearance and search operations are ongoing in the region to locate remaining militants.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for their actions in both provinces.
