Pakistan security forces kill 21 terrorists in intelligence‑based raids across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Pakistani security forces carried out a series of intelligence‑based operations that resulted in the deaths of 21 militants. Seventeen terrorists were killed in Balochistan districts—including Mastung, Nushki, Zehri, Khuzdar and Kech—following a deadly train bombing in Quetta. The operations recovered weapons, ammunition, explosives and improvised explosive devices.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four militants were neutralised in separate night‑time raids in Dera Ismail Khan and Mohmand districts. Both operations were part of the Azm‑e‑Istehkam counter‑terrorism strategy under the National Action Plan. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the forces for the successes, emphasizing continued pressure on militant networks.

The military indicated that sanitisation and clearance drives will continue to eliminate any remaining threats and prevent further attacks.
