Pakistan security forces kill 27 militants in North Waziristan

Pakistan’s security forces carried out a series of intelligence‑based operations over a 72‑hour period in the Miran Shah area of North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The raids targeted militant hideouts and resulted in intense exchanges of fire that left 27 fighters dead. The militants were described by the military as members of the India‑backed “Fitna al‑Khawarij” group. Weapons and ammunition were recovered, and the operation was said to avenge the killing of local figure Malik Saifullah Dawar. Clearance and sanitisation activities continue in the area to eliminate any remaining threats.
